radiationair asked:
for example, small aircraft like Russian Technoavia’s SM92 Finist that competes with Cessna Caravan is 1/5th of the cost of Cessna 208 and is also more beautiful *at least for me*. But it carries 6 Pax instead of 10 Pax in Cessna and still not popular. And also, Airbus and Boeing just shadow above Tupolev and Antonov.. why?

Weird question, but it applies to a game I’m playing. If I had a smaller than person sized aircraft, how likely would it be for the government of a country to detect it through non visual means?

In the movie “Behind enemy lines” the aircraft carriers command center is lite blue, this is to help the users eyes with the computer monitors and instruments. Who can tell me what exact lighting this is? I wish to set up my home office with this ambient light.
I have actinic blue flourecent lamp that I use on a aquarium.
What does the military use?

Why is it that Russian aircraft are considered inferior to Western? Or is it only because of the pro Western hype?

A lot of people I ask say the Air Force but thats an obvious answer. I know the Marine Corp has the 5th biggest air force in the world but there is still the Army, Navy, and Coast Guard. i have done some research but i want to continue as an aircraft mechanic after the military, so i am also looking for good benefits.

Alphonso Papooshnik asked:
I have just decided to get my private pilots certificate. There is a lot of information out there to help you plan and budget for education expenses but relatively very little after you are licensed. Generally, what can I expect to pay anually for insurance, aircraft maintenance, continuing education, storage and fuel. I have been looking at purchasing a Cessna 172 from the 1960’s or 70’s. Once again, I realize there are too many variables to be specific but any help or information would be appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks for the replies guys. Excellent information! John, I printed off your reply and handed out to all the other people (ladies included) in the office to make sure and help get your point across… LMAO!

I am looking at the listing of bases available for my next PCS and Nellis and Edwards are both on there. I thought they were both fighter bases. Since my job isn’t for fighters I was just wondering which aircraft are there that I could work on? Thanks!

Does this make the lane some kind of landing strip for aircraft? Or does it notify drivers that the area is patrolled by aircraft?
