Adam S asked:

The frontal area of an aircraft is basically the cross-sectional projected surface of the aircraft when viewed from the front. I am most interested in finding out this area (in square feet or square meters) for common commercial airliners such as Boeing 747-400 ER, Airbus A320-200, Airbus 380, Boeing 737-300 ER, but also other commercial airliners. Can someone please include a source where I can find this information?

Kimberlyn asked:

Hello! As usual, we’re tackling Aircraft Production in our class. Now we’re searching for roles of the manpower involved. Can anyone list down a few of their inputs the roles of an Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineer in a manufacturing company? What jobs can a BS degree holder of such engineering discipline can hold and what’s the nature of his work? I have searched only for a few and it seems short enough to explain entirely an engineers work.

Thanks a lot!

I heard wingtip vortex causes and induced angle of attack on the wing is this true? I read wiglets reduce this vortex in-turn reducing drag, can you please elaborate on wiglets also?
